About Orrinth

Who teaches here, where we train, and how a course is put together.

Orrinth began as a single weekly class in Richmond Hill and grew into three courses because students kept asking for a slower, deeper option after finishing the introductory sessions. We teach self-defense as a practical skill set — stance, awareness, movement and plain communication — never as a promise about what will happen in any specific situation.

Orrinth is a trading name; the courses are delivered by the operating company, TAISHAN SCHOOL OF MARTIAL ARTS INC., which holds our training space and employs our coaching staff.

We train from our space on East Beaver Creek 165 East Beaver Creek Road. Students come mainly from Richmond Hill, with a regular number travelling from Markham and Vaughan for evening classes.

Our coaching team teaches every session personally — there is no rotating roster of guest instructors. Each coach has several years of teaching experience and works from the same written course outlines described on our services page, so the content stays consistent regardless of which coach is leading a given class.

Keeping every class consistent

Every course runs from the same written outline, reviewed with the full coaching team before each new intake. We check in at the midpoint of the group programme and adjust the remaining weeks if a group needs more time on a particular skill.

This is a method for keeping teaching steady, not a claim about how quickly any individual student will progress — that depends on the person.
